AITC (Ag In the Classroom) complements existing curriculum and courses of study because it provides teachers what they want and need. AITC curriculum and workshops give teachers real life examples about our environment, our economy, our standard of living, etc. Teachers use AITC resources because of the real-life examples that teach math, science, language, and social studies.

Learn MoreThe Rutherford County Farm Bureau will be offering a maximum of two scholarships to be awarded to High School Seniors who will be entering a Tennessee post-secondary institution in the fall to obtain a degree which can be used in the agricultural field, of $1,000.00 for the first semester and another $1,000.00 for the second semester after they have shown proof that they have maintained a 2.5 GPA and are enrolled for the Spring Semester.
Deadline for submitting an application is March 15th. The scholarships will be awarded in August. Those interested should submit their application with the required paperwork to:

A scholarship of $2,500.00 will be awarded to a Rutherford County student majoring in any of the emphasis areas in Agriculture, who is a Rutherford County resident and whose parents/guardians or the applicant is a member of the Rutherford County Farm Bureau. You must apply for admittance, and be accepted for the fall semester to a Tennessee College, University or Trade School to be considered for the scholarship. Upon completion of the fall semester, a second $2,500.00 will be awarded if the applicant qualifies with a grade point average of 2.5 or above and is registered as a fulltime student for the Spring Semester.
